URBAN WIND - WINDSPIRE
Windspire Series IV turbines are the only small wind turbines that have been modularly designed so that every part is sized and carried to the roof level using the freight elevator. This is the one design feature that makes the Windspire exclusive in hi rise building applications.
Once the turbine reaches the top floor we have designed roof mounts that can be attached to the building structure or trays using ballast weights.
We make use of the tilt base and with a couple mounting devices we are able to assemble the turbine horizontally and then wench it to a vertical position.

Windspire Control Systems
Using the latest in Programmable Logic Control the new Windspire Controller leads the industry in advanced wind turbine operation, monitoring and control.
The Windspire Group has designed a custom controller for our new Series IV wind turbines. We can custom design and build microprocessors based system to measure DC voltage, RPM, Grid Voltage, Wind Speed, and use these variables to control dump load resistors, turbine brakes based on software uniquely configured for each turbine type.
This Windspire Controler is frequency matched to our new generator and the Aurora Power One Wind Inverter, harvesting the most power out of the turbine. Microprocessors are extremely reliable and fast acting.
Our system can respond to changing conditions, usually within less than 2 milliseconds, applying dump loads or operating brake systems if required, as well as sending SMS messages to notify fault conditions. Our new controller can also read the RS485 port of most inverters to check for alarm states. We can also use GSM or Ethernet to transmit inverter data, windspeed, RPM, voltage etc. to websites for data logging.
