Building Project Steps:

 

Site Survey - A site survey needs to be performed. The proposed location on the building will need to be photographed and measured, and the roof drawings studied for structure loads and support. Cable runs and grid hookup is necessary at this time.  

 

Wind Study- Windspire engineering can look at the history of the wind for the past few years at the general site. When it comes to building and the winds laminor flow it is essential to walk the site to determine wind flow towards the building, around the building and up the face of the building. This will determine the exact location of the Windspires to be in the maximum force of the wind. Placement and available wind from light to extreme can be studies for designing the turbines for the project. 

 

Design - Windspire engineering has the ability to design the correct support structure, but also to specifically design turbines that will be work at this location. From years of experience and testing, we have the ability to design around varies types of tiers of wind blades, sweep area and angles of pitch, creating a custom turbine that would work the best at this site location and wind conditions. 

 

Implementation Plan and Installation -  The Windspire turbines are built in component form so that each part can be taken to the roof level using the freight elevator. We have designed specific devices for lifting, moving and erecting the turbine. The complete stand and turbine are assembled at the roof site and lifted into plave from the hinged baseplate.  

 

Turbine Control - Each Windspire turbine comes with it's own controller that is specially designed to keep the turbine safe and still maximize performance in all wind conditions. We can operate an anemometer that can monitor the wind and control turbine operation. 

 

Monitoring - Each Windspire turbine can be remotely monitored from the controller, and Inverter. Wind conditions, turbine performance, and Inverter/ Grid output can be viewed in real ime and determine if any adjustments need to be made. The Windspire turbines can be ajusted by Windspire support using Wi-Fi. 

 

 

Your structural engineer and electrical firms will need to review and approve all concept designs, location and electrical hookup for the project.
